Discover a fully guided 3-Day Tanzania Leopard Safari through three of northern Tanzania's most rewarding wildlife destinations: Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. This itinerary is available as a private or shared safari and is designed for travellers who want a compact but varied wildlife experience with an expert local guide. Tarangire is known for large elephant herds and baobab-dotted landscapes, Lake Manyara offers groundwater forest, birdlife and diverse habitats, while Ngorongoro Crater provides exceptional opportunities to see lions, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas and black rhinos. Leopards are naturally elusive, so sightings can never be guaranteed, but your guide will search suitable habitats and help you understand the wildlife and landscapes throughout the journey.
After breakfast, your Africa Natural Tours guide will meet you at your hotel in Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park. Begin your game drive across open savannah, riverine habitat and areas framed by ancient baobab trees. Tarangire is especially famous for elephants, while other wildlife may include lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and many antelope species. Your local safari guide will explain animal behaviour, seasonal movements and the ecology of the Tarangire River as you explore. After lunch, continue the game drive before travelling to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a guided game drive through a compact but ecologically diverse landscape. The park includes groundwater forest, open floodplain, woodland and lakeshore habitat, creating opportunities to see monkeys, giraffes, elephants, zebras, antelopes and rich birdlife. Depending on seasonal conditions, flamingos and other water-associated birds may be present around the lake. Your guide will help you search for wildlife while explaining how the Rift Valley escarpment and groundwater system shape the park. Later in the day, continue toward the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight near the conservation area.
After an early breakfast, enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. The crater floor supports a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas and, with luck, black rhinos. Leopards may occasionally be encountered in suitable areas, but they are secretive and no sighting can be promised. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari, then continue exploring before ascending the crater rim and returning to Arusha. Your 3-Day Tanzania Leopard Safari ends on arrival in Arusha.
