After breakfast in your lodge or camp, we'll go to the Serengeti. We will have a full-day game drive in this part of the park to view the great migration. The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa, due in part to the abundance of prey species. The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the "Big Five," named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters. Get ready for some amazing sightings and natural scenes.
After breakfast at the camp or lodge, we depart with your picnic lunch for a game drive and to view the great migration. The Serengeti National Park has exceptionally high resident wildlife numbers in the Wagakuria area, including prides of lions; however, the area transforms into a wildlife paradise from July, August, September, and early October. The Mara River is the main feature, and it is not uncommon to see herds cross to the north on one day and then back south a few days later.

After breakfast, enjoy a fantastic full day of game drives at the Mara River, viewing the great migration river crossing. River crossings at Kogatende start to occur every day in August as the mega herd settles into the area. From August to October, game viewing up here is superb, with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day. Back to the camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Depart after breakfast for morning game drive. In the afternoon, transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for your flight to Arusha. Without accommodations, you will only get breakfast on this day.
