Meet the Team
A team of East Africans on the ground, and travel specialists worldwide, who really like talking about African safaris and Kilimanjaro.
Who We Are
Africa Natural Tours has grown into a team of 200+ local employees since we started in Moshi in 2008. Our headquarters still sits at the foot of Kilimanjaro, but our ground teams now run trips out of offices across Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and South Africa — each staffed by people who grew up in the destinations they plan, from the Serengeti to Bwindi to Volcanoes National Park.
Alongside our East Africa operations, we have travel advisors supporting clients from regional offices in the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia — so wherever you're calling or messaging from, someone on our team is working in a time zone close to yours, backed directly by the local staff running your trip on the ground.
Our guiding and crew teams are just as substantial: over 298 certified local guides and 2,000+ trained safari and mountain crew across Africa, all directly employed rather than outsourced, with a 50/50 gender balance commitment across our teams and major destinations.
After 18+ years and happy 25,000+ travelers served, we've built up over 1,500 Google reviews and recognition from TripAdvisor and the Global Tourism Excellence Awards — a reflection of the reservations, logistics, permits, accounts, and guide coordination staff working behind every itinerary, in every country we operate.
We have a little fun too, and when we're not at our desks you'll often find us out on the mountain or out on safari ourselves — scroll down for a few photos of the team doing some of the same things you'll be doing on your trip.
We invite you to learn more about us and see what makes our guides across Africa exceptional.
