What if I cancel after I have already booked for Kilimanjaro?

While some companies will choose to confiscate the entire amount you deposited other companies will refund you some percent or the whole money you gave as a deposit or full payment. You have to check with the companies cancelation policy to be sure about what is happening. Either, we highly recommend that before confirming your booking you actually take time to read and understand the company’s cancelation policy.

To most of operators once your trip has been confirmed the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation Fees 60 days or more prior to your trip start date, the cancellation fee is 20% of the total trip price. 59 to 32 days prior to trip departure, 50% of the total trip price will be refunded. 31 days or less prior to trip departure, there is no refund.

e. Less than 1 week prior to departure – 100% Cancellation Fee

The Company reserves the right to cancel any tour at its sole and absolute discretion, however, in that case the Company agrees to refund all monies already paid by the client. This shall be the Company’s sole responsibility to the client and no claim for any damages, howsoever arising, shall accrue against the company.

In all cases of cancellations you will also need to cover our non-refundable and partially refundable expenses, such as hotel reservations or domestic air tickets. Tour Companies they should allow indefinite holds on your deposit and you will be able to use it for any trip. Your money will be returned if you being sick or having other valid reasons for cancellation is not necessary

The following cancellation fees shall apply

You will get a 10% cancellation penalty in 90 and more days before the scheduled start of your tour. You will get a 30% cancellation penalty in 60-89 days before the scheduled start of your tour. You will get a 50% cancellation penalty in 30- 59 days before the scheduled start of your tour. You will get a 75% cancellation penalty in 8 - 29 days before the scheduled start of your tour.

All cancellation penalties are based on the total tour price. In all cases of cancellations you will also need to cover non refundable or partially refundable expenses, such as hotel reservations or domestic air tickets.

Note: No refunds will be made for all cancellations made in 7 or less days prior to the scheduled travel dates.

Therefore, while there is no refund for shortening days on the Kilimanjaro. You crew will be supportive to help you down the mountain. You may as well give the tips per days you have been on the mountain or stick to math you planned earlier before shortening the days. Either, way your reception and certificate shall be granted as previously planned.
