Here’s a typical 3-day Mount Meru trek itinerary:

  1. Day 1: Arrival at Momella Gate and hike to Miriakamba Hut. Overnight at the base camp.
  2. Day 2: Summit day — early morning ascent to the crater rim, enjoy panoramic views, then descend to Saddle Hut for overnight stay.
  3. Day 3: Final descent to Momella Gate, transfer back to Arusha or continue to your next destination.

For longer itineraries (4–5 days), extra nights allow for gradual acclimatization, wildlife spotting, and side hikes to scenic viewpoints or volcanic features.
