This 3 Day Kilimanjaro expedition begins in the towns of Arusha or Moshi, located at the base of the mountain, and follows an abbreviated route, such as the Marangu route. The journey involves hiking through various climatic zones, including rainforest, heath, moorland, and alpine desert, towards to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters/19,341 feet) or Kibo Peak (5,896 meters/19,341 feet), which is the highest point in Africa. This ambitious undertaking requires a high level of physical fitness and acclimatization to altitude. It’s important to note that this itinerary is not recommended by most tour operators due to safety concerns related to altitude sickness and insufficient acclimatization time.
