Coaltan Tanner, who was born on September 18th, 2012 from Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the US, reached the summit on 22 October 2018 at 11.40am when he was A six year old boy has become the youngest person ever to climb Kilimanjaro. Coaltan’s desire to reach the summit of Africa’s Highest Mountain back in January of this year. Coaltan found out about extreme mountain climbing from an explorer book that he got for Christmas last year and frequently asks us to read to him before bedtime. he wanted to know what other high mountains he could climb and thus started his infatuation with climbing Kilimanjaro. Last spring, Joel Redmond got an idea while watching a segment on “Good Morning America” about a California girl, Roxy Getter, age eight two years older than he was who had become the youngest girl at the time to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the among of the highest mountain in world. Redmond, then 6, decided that he wanted to make that climb, too. With a team of guides and assistants, the Redmond family, which owns and operate Clear Lake mortgage company Legend Home Lending, took the eight-day journey together up the mountain.

But they believe that Joel set a record on Jan. 3 as the youngest person to climb to the 19,341-foot summit of the mountain and that his sister became the second youngest female to complete the climb. Eight year old Roxy Getter is now the youngest female to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. Getter climbed the mountain alongside her 10-year-old brother and her parents.
The family prepared by climbing up and down stairs at local parking garages, stadiums and bridges. Although the mother and daughter are both experienced triathletes, Kenney approached the new plan with extra caution, both before and during the climb. She talked to a doctor for tips on how Montannah could scale the mountain carefully, and was prepared to head back down if Montannah experienced any altitude sickness or other issues. Luckily, a slow and steady approach helped them get to the top with no major concerns, according to Weather.com. Montannah and her mom completed the climb in part to raise money for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, a type of therapy that's commonly used with trauma survivors. Montannah’s dad had just begun EMDR therapy when he died.
Considering the low oxygen levels at the volcano’s peak — successful climbers can only spend minutes there Montannah celebrated her achievement the best way she could. Ritwika Sree, a nine year old hailing from Anantapur in Telangana, recently attained the feat of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro. Post achieving this feat, she became the worlds second youngest and Asia's youngest individual to summit the mountain Kilimanjaro. After a six day trek, an eight year old boy has become the second youngest person to climb to the top of Africa's highest mountain locate in Tanzania.
Tyler Armstrong of Yorba Linda, California, successfully submitted Mt. Kilimanjaro on July 1, 2012. For safety reasons, the Tanzania National Park Authorities doesn't allow anyone under the age of 10 climb the mountain, but Armstrong was able to get a special permit and others like the youngest boy called coltaner and others.
