Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Continue toward Shira 1 Camp, where you will enjoy views across the plateau and toward Kibo, subject to weather conditions. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

After breakfast, begin a gradual trek across the Shira Plateau toward Shira 2 Camp. The route crosses open high-altitude terrain with wide views of the surrounding landscape. Your private guide will maintain a controlled pace to support acclimatization while you enjoy the changing mountain scenery. Arrive at Shira 2 Camp, settle into your accommodation and spend the evening resting and preparing for the higher sections of the climb. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower to Moir Camp

After breakfast, continue toward the Lava Tower area as the route gains elevation and enters the alpine desert zone. Trek at a steady pace while allowing your body time to adjust to the increasing altitude. After reaching the Lava Tower area, continue toward Moir Camp, a remote camp on the northern side of Kilimanjaro. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Moir Camp.

Moir Camp to Buffalo Camp

After breakfast, continue around the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro toward Buffalo Camp. The trail crosses rugged high-altitude terrain with changing views of Kibo and the surrounding northern landscape. Trek with your private guide at a comfortable pace, taking regular breaks for hydration and acclimatization. Arrive at Buffalo Camp, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp

After breakfast, continue trekking across the remote northern slopes toward Third Cave Camp. The landscape remains open and rocky, with expansive views toward Kibo and Mawenzi depending on weather conditions. The gradual route provides another opportunity to adapt to the altitude while exploring a quieter section of the mountain. Arrive at Third Cave Camp, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Third Cave Camp to School Hut Camp

After breakfast, continue toward School Hut Camp, gradually gaining altitude through the alpine desert. The trail becomes increasingly rocky as you approach the summit zone. Trek at a controlled pace with your private guide, taking regular breaks before reaching School Hut. After arrival, receive a detailed summit briefing, prepare your summit clothing and equipment, enjoy an early dinner and rest for the night.

Crater Camp to School Huts

Today focuses on the high-altitude section between School Hut and the crater area. After an early start, continue toward the upper slopes of Kibo and the crater zone under the guidance of your private mountain guide. The terrain becomes increasingly rocky and exposed as you approach the summit area. Depending on the planned route and conditions, continue toward Crater Camp and settle in at the high-altitude camp. Spend the night preparing for the final summit attempt.

Crater Camp to Uhuru Peak to Millennium Camp

Wake early and begin the final summit section with your private mountain guide. Trek from Crater Camp toward Uhuru Peak, maintaining a slow and controlled pace across the high-altitude terrain. Continue to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the highest point in Africa. After reaching Uhuru Peak, take time for photographs and to appreciate the summit experience, subject to weather and trail conditions. Begin the descent from the summit area, continuing down toward Millennium Camp. As you lose altitude, the environment gradually becomes less exposed. Arrive at Millennium Camp, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi

After breakfast, begin your final descent from Millennium Camp toward Mweka Gate. Continue through the changing mountain vegetation as you descend toward the lower forest zone. Enjoy the final section of your Kilimanjaro adventure before reaching Mweka Gate.
