Moir Hut Camp to Buffalo Camp

After breakfast, leave Moir Hut Camp and continue along the remote northern slopes toward Buffalo Camp.

The trail crosses quiet alpine terrain with broad views across the northern side of Kilimanjaro. Enjoy the remote character of the Northern Circuit while trekking at a comfortable pace and continuing your acclimatization.Arrive at Buffalo Camp, settle in, enjoy dinner, and rest for the night.

Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp

After breakfast, continue from Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp along the Northern Circuit.The route traverses the high slopes of Kilimanjaro, offering impressive views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding volcanic landscape. Enjoy another gradual trekking day with plenty of time to appreciate the remote mountain wilderness. Arrive at Third Cave Camp, where you will settle in, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Third Cave Camp to School Hut

After breakfast, continue your ascent from Third Cave Camp toward School Hut.The trail gradually climbs across the high-altitude alpine desert as you approach the upper slopes of Kibo. Walk slowly and steadily while allowing your body to adapt to the increasing elevation.

Arrive at School Hut, your final camp before the summit phase. Prepare your clothing and equipment for the summit and enjoy an early dinner before resting.

Crater Camp to School Huts

After breakfast, begin your ascent from School Hut Camp toward Crater Camp.The trail climbs steadily through rugged high-altitude terrain toward the crater area. As you gain elevation, the landscape becomes increasingly stark and dramatic, with spectacular views across the upper slopes of Kibo. Continue to Crater Camp, located within the Kilimanjaro crater area. Settle in, enjoy the unique high-altitude surroundings, and rest in preparation for your summit day.

Crater Camp – Uhuru Peak – Millennium Camp

Begin your summit attempt from the crater area according to the mountain conditions and final climbing schedule.

Continue toward Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the roof of Africa. Celebrate your summit achievement and enjoy spectacular panoramic views when weather conditions allow. After the summit, begin your descent toward Millennium Camp. The landscape gradually changes as you lose altitude, moving toward the upper forest zone.

Millennium Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi

After breakfast, begin your final descent from Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate through the beautiful mountain forest.

Enjoy the changing vegetation and cooler lower-altitude environment as you complete the final trekking section.
