After a brief orientation, you will begin a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, approximately 3 hours from Kigali. Upon arrival in the Volcanoes National Park area, you will check in at La Palme Hotel, a comfortable mid-range accommodation located near the park headquarters. Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast at approximately 6:30 AM, you will drive to the Kinigi Park Headquarters, arriving around 7:00 AM for registration and a briefing by experienced park rangers. You will then be assigned a habituated mountain gorilla family and begin your exciting trekking adventure through the dense forests of Volcanoes National Park. Accompanied by professional ranger guides and trackers, you will hike through the forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The trek can take approximately 2 to 6 hours or longer, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find them, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing their natural behaviors, including feeding, playing, interacting, and caring for their young. After this incredible wildlife encounter, you will return to the park headquarters and transfer back to La Palme Hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for an exciting golden monkey trekking experience. Following a briefing by experienced park rangers, you will enter the beautiful bamboo forests at the foothills of the Virunga Mountains in search of the endangered golden monkeys. These fascinating primates are known for their distinctive golden-orange fur and playful behavior. The trek generally takes approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on the location of the monkeys. Once you locate them, you will spend one hour observing and photographing them as they jump between bamboo branches, feed, play, and interact within their social groups. After this memorable experience, you will return to the park headquarters and drive back to La Palme Hotel, where you can relax and enjoy dinner before your final overnight stay near Volcanoes National Park.

After breakfast at approximately 9:00 AM, you will check out of the hotel and begin your scenic drive back to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will have lunch before proceeding to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight.
