Today, continue toward Kibo Hut through the alpine desert. The route crosses the broad Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, with a more open and rugged landscape and very little vegetation. Maintain a steady pace and stay hydrated as the altitude increases. Upon reaching Kibo Hut, have an early dinner and rest while your guide prepares you for the overnight summit attempt.
