Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins in Moshi with a private transfer toward Rongai Gate on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After arriving at the gate, you complete the required park registration and entry procedures before meeting your mountain guide and support crew.
The trek begins through the lower mountain environment, gradually moving toward the forest and higher vegetation zones. You walk at a steady and comfortable pace while your guide introduces you to the rhythm of the climb and provides guidance on hydration and rest.
After several hours of trekking, you arrive at Simba Camp. You settle into camp, enjoy dinner and rest overnight as you prepare for the next stage of the climb.

The trail climbs further into the high-altitude environment, with the rugged Mawenzi massif becoming increasingly impressive.The terrain becomes more open as you approach the Mawenzi area. You maintain a steady pace with regular breaks while adjusting to the increasing elevation. After reaching Mawenzi Tarn Huts, you settle into camp and enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery. Dinner is served before an overnight rest in preparation for the next stage.

Mawenzi Tarn Huts to Kibo Hut
After breakfast, you leave Mawenzi Tarn Huts and continue toward Kibo Hut. The route crosses the high-altitude saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, where the landscape becomes increasingly sparse and alpine.The group maintains a slow and controlled pace as the altitude increases. Kibo, the highest volcanic cone of Kilimanjaro, becomes increasingly prominent ahead. TANAPA identifies Kibo's summit at 5,895 meters.
After reaching Kibo Hut, you have dinner and receive a summit briefing from your mountain guide. You prepare your warm clothing, headlamp, water and personal equipment before taking an early rest for the summit attempt.

Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
