Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins in Moshi with a transfer to the Rongai Gate, located on the northeastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro near the Tanzania–Kenya border. After completing the registration and entry procedures, you will begin your trek through the beautiful montane forest. The trail gradually ascends through lush vegetation and offers the possibility of spotting wildlife along the way. After several hours of hiking, you will reach Simba Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, you will continue your ascent from Simba Camp toward Kikelelwa Cave Camp. You will trek through the moorland zone, passing unique high-altitude vegetation before reaching Kikelelwa Cave Camp. After arriving at camp, you can relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day\'s trek.

Kikelelwa Cave Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp
Today you will hike from Kikelelwa Cave Camp toward Mawenzi Tarn Camp, located beneath the impressive Mawenzi Peak. The trail becomes steeper as you climb higher into the alpine desert zone, offering spectacular views of the rugged Mawenzi peaks and the surrounding Kilimanjaro landscape. This relatively short but scenic hike allows your body to continue acclimatizing to the increasing altitude. Upon arrival at Mawenzi Tarn Camp, you will have time to rest and enjoy the dramatic mountain scenery before dinner and an overnight stay.

Mawenzi Tarn Camp to Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut
You will start the most challenging day of the climb very early, usually around midnight, heading toward Kibo Hut and then continuing to the summit. The trail becomes steep and demanding as you climb through the alpine desert toward Gilman\'s Point and onward to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters. After celebrating your summit achievement and taking photographs, you will descend toward Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Hut. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Horombo Hut.

You will then be transferred back to Moshi, marking the end of your 5-day Kilimanjaro climbing adventure via the Rongai Route.
