After breakfast, transfer toward the Rongai Gate on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. Complete the necessary registration before beginning your trek with your group and mountain guide. The trail starts through the lower mountain environment, gradually moving through forest as you gain elevation. Trek at a comfortable pace while enjoying the surrounding scenery and preparing your body for the higher sections of the mountain. Continue toward Simba Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, begin your trek from Simba Camp toward Kikelelwa Camp. The trail continues upward through changing vegetation as the forest gradually gives way to moorland. After reaching Mawenzi Tarn Huts, settle into camp, have dinner and rest as you prepare for the next stage of the climb.

Mawenzi Tarn Huts to Kibo Hut
After breakfast, begin the trek toward Kibo Hut. The route crosses the alpine desert between Mawenzi and Kibo, where vegetation becomes increasingly sparse and the terrain more rocky. Maintain a slow and comfortable pace as you continue gaining altitude. Upon reaching Kibo Hut, have your evening meal and spend time preparing your clothing, water and equipment for the summit attempt. Rest early because the summit climb begins during the night.

Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut
Wake up around midnight and begin the challenging summit ascent with your mountain guide and group. Trek slowly through the rocky terrain toward the crater rim, passing through the upper sections of Kibo as you make your way toward Uhuru Peak. Continue toward Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit, take time for photographs and enjoy the surrounding views before beginning the descent. Descend back toward Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing to Horombo Hut. The descent provides an opportunity to recover after the summit attempt while gradually moving to a lower altitude. Arrive at Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.
