Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will independently arrange your airport transfer and accommodation in Kigali. This is an arrival day reserved for settling in and preparing for your upcoming Rwanda safari. After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing by experienced park rangers. Receive instructions on gorilla trekking guidelines before entering the forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek may take approximately 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas' location and trekking conditions. Once you find them, spend a maximum of one hour observing and photographing these magnificent primates. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural visit to Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village, where you will learn about traditional Rwandan customs, music, dance and community heritage. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
