Depart from South America and fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Tanzania, Africa. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional representative and transferred to your luxury hotel in Moshi. Take time to relax, recover from your international journey, and prepare for your upcoming Mount Kilimanjaro adventure. Your guide will provide a pre-trek briefing and ensure you are ready for the trek ahead. This arrival day is separate from the 8 trekking days.

Day 1: Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

After breakfast, depart from Moshi and drive to Londorossi Gate for registration and trekking permit procedures. From the gate, continue by vehicle to the Lemosho trailhead, where your Kilimanjaro adventure officially begins. Trek through the beautiful montane rainforest, surrounded by lush vegetation, ancient trees, and the sounds of Tanzania’s wilderness. Walk at a comfortable pace as you gradually gain altitude before arriving at Mti Mkubwa Camp for dinner and overnight.

Arrive at Shira 2 Camp, settle in, enjoy dinner, and spend the night in preparation for the higher elevations ahead.

Rest as much as possible during the evening because your final ascent to Uhuru Peak will begin around midnight.

Celebrate your achievement and take time to enjoy the breathtaking views from the summit before beginning your descent. Continue down through the alpine desert toward Barafu and then proceed to Mweka Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
